Compared to its Pulse series predecessors, the JBL Pulse 5 is engineered with a larger passive radiator and acoustic volume for deeper bass, as well as a woofer, focused on delivering mid-low frequency sound and an added tweeter for authentic and purer sound – perfect for any gathering.

You can play the Pulse 5 for 12 hours on a full charge. Recharge time goes from dead to full charge in 4 hours, which seems a little on the long side. There’s no quick charge mode. The battery level is displayed on the back of the speaker, and a USB-C charging cable is provided.

JBL speaker is waterproof with an IPX7 rating. (IPX7 means it can survive immersion in 1 meter/3.3 feet for up to 30 minutes.).To maintain the looks and functions of your speaker, please make sure to rinse it with fresh water after using it at a swimming pool or the ocean, then dry off all covers and areas where water can gather. The standard for waterproofing is for tap water. Chemicals and salt in your pool or the ocean can damage the waterproof seals or harm the surface finish over time if not rinsed off after use.
